The 11th annual gathering of Asia Pacific Writers and Translators, the region's largest and longest-running network of writers, translators, editors, publishers and agents will be at The Griffith University on the Gold Coast from 5-7 December.

There will be three-days of sessions, workshops, readings, book launches and social events shining a spotlight on the rich tapestry of creative writing across the region.

Joining the line-up of this year’s speakers is an eclectic range of Australian writers including Tiffany Tsao, the 2018 Stella Prize shortlisted Miranda Riwoe, journalist and writer Matthew Condon, Ubuntu memoirist Heather Ellis and novelists Nick Earls, Inez Baranay and Sally Breen, amongst others.

Representing the APWT’s diverse member base, the gathering will feature a lineup of international poets, including India’s Rochelle Potkar, Malaysia’s Malachi Edwin, China’s Yolanda Yu and Australia’s Jena Woodhouse and Anthony Lawrence, and Samuel Wagan Watson, just to name a few.

There will be a number of workshops with presenters including the contemporary Indigenous Australian poet Samuel Wagan Watson, celebrated Indian travel writer Shivaji Das, and American writer James Shea, amongst others.
