Ubud Bali, Indonesia
4-9 November 2025

The APWT Writing Retreat in the artistic mecca of Ubud, Bali is all set for 4-9 November 2025 directly following the always fabulous Ubud Writers and Readers Festival. Connect with writers from around the world and submerge yourself in a restorative and inspiring curated retreat, workshop and cultural program over six glorious days and five salubrious nights. The APWT Writing Retreat is designed to be a guided experience which will include workshops from experienced guest authors and poets, opportunities to read your work, wellness activities to enhance creativity, literary lunches with guest authors and cultural activities.

Participants will be housed together at Ubud Central Art Retreat – a glorious sub section of a resort we’ll have for exclusive use. With gorgeous gardens and a relaxed and traditional Balinese feel the Ubud Central Art Retreat is the perfect balance of seclusion and connection – walk into town and then retreat to your very own APWT haven. Places at the resort are limited however so book your spot very soon to avoid disappointment. The registration package of $750 USD full member rate is all inclusive featuring exclusive access to the retreat program, accommodation, on ground transport and breakfast. As far as professional writing retreats go this is one of the most reasonable you will find. While the retreat is open to writers at all stages of development it is curated with the majority of APWT members in mind – published practitioners looking to escape the daily grind and immerse themselves in creativity and the high-level unique international interchange APWT events provide.

We’ll announce our fabulous international guest authors and program inclusions as the project develops. Over and over, we hear about how APWT has created linkages between people that have sparked friendships, enhanced practice and changed lives. Join us in 2025 to generate more of these supernova stories. Book your place today via our website to secure the full rate.
